The Mid-Prairie girl’s host Cedar Valley Christian tonight for one of their last home games of the season.
No. 5 ranked Mid-Prairie is 10-3 and is shooting 35 percent from the field and scoring 47.5 points per game.
They are led by Mariah Swartzentruber with 141 and Mallory McArtor with 135 points per game.
Cedar Valley Christian is 1-10 and is shooting 33.5 percent from the field and scoring just 36.5 points per game.
They are led by Shelby Hembera with 231 points on the year, more than all of her other teammates points on the year combined.
Mid-Prairie head coach Marc Pennington said it’s too late in the year to make any major adjustments, but that this week will be special for the Seniors, starting with the first of three home stands this week that could be the Seniors last.
“We have a lot of little things that we can keep improving, our roles are what they are at this point, we started the same lineup the last 30 plus games, so we’re not going to make any changes,” Pennington. “The one thing I would say is this last week, Saturday could be the last home game for the seniors that have meant so much for Mid-Prairie and the basketball program, and that is what sticks out to me, this could be it for them playing on their home floor, depending on what we get for a tournament draw.”
Game starts at 6:00 tonight at Mid-Prairie
