Local farmers and business owners looking at retirement may find this weekend’s extension workshop beneficial. Dave Baker, the Farm Transition Specialist for ISU Extension’s Beginning Farmer Center, will be in Washington this weekend for the Business and Farm Succession Workshop.

The 2 day workshop has a goal of making the transition between the current owner of the business and the future owner a smooth one. The workshop will go over everything from forming your succession plan to planning for retirement.
