The Washington City Council is preparing to consider an ordinance that would allow for restaurant seating outdoors. The cafe ordinance has been discussed by the council, city staff and local business owners. Washington Mayor Sandra Johnson says that the council might review an ordnance first that allowed such seating, and then in a separate measure, might  consider whether alcohol would also be allowed to be served under such conditions.  Johnson says that the ordinance is likely to be ready for review this week.
