Changes are coming to Washington that will have a positive affect in the city.  The Washington City Council approved the 2012 Comprehensive Plan last night.  Work on the Plan started in October and shows different ways of improving the city over the next 20 years.

The Council also approved an ordinance designating an Urban Revitalization Plan.  This plan calls for tax abatements for the different classifications of property within the city limits.  It also provides a strong incentive to improve properties, build new and will help with housing strategies in the city.
