The IMS baseball team earned themselves a couple of extra awards after the season, with two of their players earned all-district honors.

Cameron Gingrich, second team pitcher and Chris Perez, second team catcher both earned spots for their play.

Gingrich had a 4-3 record on the year with a 3.16 ERA and 88 strikeouts, all thrown to his catcher Perez.

Gingrich says having Perez behind the plate gave him a little less to think about on the mound.

“He did a really nice job this year behind the plate, he had a good arm so that helped with the running game,” Gingrich said. “I had confidence that [Perez] could throw them out so I didn’t have to worry too much about the runner at first.”
