The city of Washington’s Comprehensive Plan was presented recently and the process is nearing completion.  Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson says after The Plan is approved by Comprehensive Plan Committee and the City Planning and Zoning Commission it will be presented to the City Council for adoption.

He says the Council could be taking action on the Plan by the middle of next month.  Hinson says the plan looks at future land uses and helps with future zoning.

Once adopted, the City will consider working with the Washington Economic Development Group about implementation of the Plan.  To view Comprehensive Plan, you can visit the city’s website.
