Two Washington men are in custody after leading police on a high speed chase. Around 1 in the morning Saturday, a Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to pull over an SUV on HW 218 for speeding.

The driver then led the deputy on a high speed pursuit that reached speeds in excess of 100 mph. The chase eventually ended near Salem after officers deployed stop-sticks.

The driver 19 year old Miguel Andrade of Washington faces six charges including reckless driving and OWI. Both Andrade and his passenger remain in Henry County Jail awaiting their initial appearance.
