Area kids participating in one of two 4-H summer camps will have the opportunity to get involved in a research study.The study conducted by the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be an effort to reduce the rate of childhood obesity in the state, by implementing immersion style teaching. Youth enrolled in two camps at Iowa 4-H Center, Everything Camp and Counselors in Training Camp, can sign up to be apart of the research project, Immersion in Wellness Camp.

Select weeks of the two camps will have participants engage in a variety of wellness learning activities, involving things like nutrition and physical activity. If the camper chooses to participate they will receive a 65 dollar scholarship.
