The community was invited to a new event yesterday titled “Let’s Do It Downtown.”  Amy Vetter with Main Street Washington says this event is a three-part series of workshop and activities designed to get property owners, contractors and the community excited about the revitalization of the upper stories of downtown buildings.

Part of yesterday’s event was a tour of the Triune Building at 210-212 South Marion Avenue.  The building was built in 1872.  Those coming had a chance to hear about the building’s past, present and future.

Others also had the opportunity to share ideas about the future use of the building at 207 West Main Street.  The other two “Let’s Do It Downtown” events will be held next month and in May.
