Drunk Driving accidents increase around the holidays, especially around New Years. Lynne Zoulek with KCSTAAR gave us some tips for staying safe while driving this holiday season. She says the first thing you can do is make sure you eat something before you start to drink. She also says to make sure you have a plan for getting home, even if you don’t plan on drinking very much. Be prepared to call a cab, family member, or friend to get a ride home, or you could choose a designated driver before you go out. She says to watch out for other drivers as well. She says drunk driving is at its highest on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm to 2am, so be aware of other drivers on the road.
