The Washington County Riverboat Foundation announced its Competitive Grant Awards last night for the fall of 2011. WCRF Board President, Tim Putney says over $650,000 in grants are for projects around the area that will serve diverse and important needs.
Some of the larger grants awarded were $80,000 for football and track lighting at Highland Community Schools, $62,500 to the Washington Athletic Booster Club for Phase 1 of Baseball Field Renovation and $45,000 to the Crawford Township Fire Association for fire truck replacement.
