Residents of Washington have a new way to pay their water bills.  City Accountant Joe Myers says people in Washington can now pay their city water bills using credit cards.  He says when he first started working for the city in 2009, the Council had a goal of establishing this method of payments, but other issues took more of a priority.

The ability to pay the bills with a credit card started the first of the month.  Everyone paying with a credit card will have a receipt of the transaction at the time of payment.

Visa and MasterCard are the only cards being accepted.  Myers says at some time in the future, Washington residents will be able to pay their water bills online.
