The city of Kalona has added a full-time employee to its staff.  City administrator Ryan Slabaugh says the Kalona city council approved the employment of Kalona resident Matt Jacoby (Ja-coe-bee) as a general laborer.

He says Jacoby will become the fourth full-time employee hired by the town.  Slaubaugh says Jacoby will perform a variety of duties for the city of Kalona, including water and sewer work, street repair, equipment maintenance, and others.
