The retired CEO of Washington County Hospital and Clinics has a new title.  Don Patterson has been officially named at the District Governor of Rotary District 6000.  Patterson says their district covers 43 counties in south-central and south-east Iowa.

He says the process started two years ago before he could become the District Governor.  Patterson says his role will include organizing the district, directing the district activities, and being the official representative of Rotary International for District 6000.

Patterson becomes the second person from Washington to assume the District Governor role.  His term started July 1st and will serve for one year.

The last person from the southeast Iowa area selected was Roger Borup from Wellman who served from 1997 to 1998.
