Washington County Hospital and Clinics is holding a Diabetes 101 class for persons with diabetes and their families. Registered Dietician Anne Sposato says this class is for those who have been diagnosed with any stage of diabetes. She says those attending will learn what diabetes is, how to use your blood sugar meters, complications of diabetes, healthy eating, counting carbs, exercise, medication and different resources for those affected with the disease.
Sposato says the only cost is $50 per family to cover the materials. She adds this is a five week seminar which will be held every Thursday starting tonight from 6:30-8:30 at Washington County Hospital and Clinics. For more information, listen to today’s Washington Page.
