The Columbus Community School District may be looking for a new superintendent soon. Superintendent Rich Bridenstine submitted his resignation during the regular board meeting on Monday. People at the board meeting however were against his resignation. Bridenstine says a motion was made to table the resignation and he agreed to table it for now. He says he wants to retire now because he is 58 years old and by offering his resignation now he would give the board time to find a replacement. Bridenstine says he wants to talk with each of the board members before the next board meeting about the issue. The board also decided for the second year in a row not to offer early retirement. The next board meeting is December 6th.
