A local bank has donated online financial education software to the Washington School District. Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen says Thursday, Washington State Bank will train high school staff on the six hour program that will teach students how to use “checking accounts, savings accounts, investing, credit cards, [and] consumer fraud” techniques. Jorgensen says the district will use the software to satisfy its “financial literacy” requirements. All 10th through 12th grade students will use the donated software.
