This afternoon, Thursday Night Live will return to Washington’s Central Park for the last time. Each week the Farmers Market begins at 5pm and guest performers take the stage at 6:30. Tonight Prairie Serenade will play a pleasant mix of traditional and folk tunes mixed with Irish, English, Scottish and French-Canadian melodies. The Washington Municipal Band finished its summer Thursday Night Live schedule on August 12th. After the concert, band director Tom McNamar said it was a good season “with great crowds and great weather”. McNamar and the Municipal Band will return the second Thursday after Memorial Day next year.
