The Tommy Castro Band is performing a special concert in honor of a local man’s birthday. Sue Frisbie of Washington is presenting the band and helped coordinate the event for Washington’s Dave Miller. Frisbie says Miller is a long time fan of the Tommy Catstro Band, and encourages the community of Washington to help celebrate. Tickets are $25 at the door. Discounted tickets are available for Washington community members and friends of Miller’s. Discounted tickets can be obtained by calling Sue Frisbie at 319-931-2244 for $15. The Tommy Castro Band recently received the “Band of the Year,” “Album of the Year,” “BB King Entertainer of the Year” and “Male Vocalist of the Year” honors at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis. The concert is at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center on August 11th beginning at 7pm.
