The City of Brighton is planning to use funds from a Washington County Riverboat Foundation Grant to make improvements on a municipal building. The building is the where the water plant and the Brighton First Responders are located. Improvements include a new roof coating and updates to the buildings joints. Also, restroom renovations, installing a heating and cooling system, mold abatement and some fresh painting are in store. City Clerk Linda Berger says they hope to prepare information to get out for bids at the next council meeting. The project she says will hopefully be completed by the winter months.
