The Washington Demon boys golf team had a dominating performance at their sectional tournament. The Demons shot a 308 at Fort Madison which was 15 strokes better than second place Central Clinton-DeWitt. In golf you have six players for each team and the top four scores of that six are counted to get the team score, well all six of Washington’s golfers finished in the top eight. The Demons had the medalist with Alex Thode shooting 75, Brock Kimball shot 76, Joe Harris 78, Dillon DePerrot shot 79 his first time under 80 this year, and Kaleb Rich and Jake Redlinger each shot 80. It was the team’s best score away from their home course. They shot a 297 at their home tournament earlier this season. So now the Demons will Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City on Friday where they will face Central Clinton DeWitt, Williamsburg, Grinnell, and Marion.
