April is Autism Awareness Month, and a local medical professional hopes society can overcome some of the stigmas surrounding the disorder. Dr. Robin Plattenberger is with Washington County Hospital Medical Clinic. She says research linking autism to mercury in vaccines was falsified and has since been refuted. She says to date, the scientific community has not been able to establish a cause for autism.
