Iowa lawmakers are heading into the home stretch of this year’s legislative session. Fairfield Senator Becky Schmitz says she was happy to see measures that support military families, alternative energy and education pass. She says they have allocated about 145-million dollars more for education versus last year. Schmitz says she wishes more could’ve been done to deal with flood prevention. The legislature could wrap up as early as today.
