The 2A girls post season kicked off Saturday. Mid-Prairie was on the road taking on Sigourney. This was a close game with Mid-Prairie leading in the first half and went into halftime up 20-18. It was tied going into the fourth but Sigourney would get the lead and kind put a little distance as they won 48-36. Afterwards Mid-Prairie Head Coach Mark Pennington said he was proud of the way he team came out, he felt the game was closer than the score made it look. Katie Redlinger had 14 points and Mallory McArtor had 8. Sigourney will now move on to face Pekin who beat Cardinal 59-55.
