Alliant Energy plans to shut down power tomorrow to do some maintenance in the Wellman area. A recent lighting strike damaged a regulator, and the utility needs to turn off the power to repair it. Alliant estimates about one-thousand customers in Daytonville, rural Keota and Wellman will be effected. The outage is planned for Thursday at 4:30 PM. Customers who will be affected are being contacted by an automated phone system.
