Areas where travel is not advised
Travel is currently not advised in most of western Iowa and parts of central Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol has issued a tow ban for the affected areas.
The “No Travel” advisory includes all of Interstate 29 and I-680, portions of I-35 in central Iowa, and I-80 from U.S. 71 west to the Nebraska state line.

Roads reduced to one lane
Motorists are reminded that when a two-lane roadway is reduced to one lane, travel is head-to-head and the roadway should generally only be used during emergencies. Extreme caution should be exercised and speeds significantly reduced.
