The Washington County Engineer plans to practice his trade in Brazil. David Patterson is requesting a leave of absence to do volunteer work in the South American Country. He says it’s something he’s done in the past, and would like to continue. Patterson plans to be gone between December and April. He’s recommending that the county freeze his contract during that time, and make Assistant Engineer Jacob Thorius in charge in the interim.
