Press play to hear from ISP Post 13 Commander Dean Jalas
State Troopers could be taking some unpaid furlough days under a tentative agreement between the State Police Officers Council and Iowa. Lieutenant Dean Jalas is District Commander of Post 13 in Mt. Pleasant. He says the deal would mean fewer officers on the road. Jalas says they would try to set up the schedule to minimize the impact. The proposed mandatory time off is part of the governor’s across the board budget cuts.
