The Iowa Office of Energy Independence reports southeast Iowa is seeing the highest gas prices this year as fuel supplies drop. Communications Specialist Jessica Zopf says this is the first time in over two months prices have increased and the Midwest is seeing some of the largest jumps. Zopf says the average price for a gallon of unleaded ethanol has jumped three cents since this time last month while natural gas prices have jumped fifty-five cents.
