Iowa is in store for nearly $600 million in state budget cuts. Governor Chet Culver is ordering a 10 percent across the board reduction in the wake of diminished revenue estimates. State Representative Larry Marek says across the board cuts are the fairest solution to the problem. Marek says they need to get the economy turned around buy doing things Iowa is good at. He says that includes focusing on things like agriculture and renewable energy.
