A diagnosed case of the H1N1 influenza has been discovered at Washington’s Stewart Elementary School. In a letter to parents yesterday (9/15) Washington County Public Health says this is the first documented case in the district, but more cases are expected. They say the appropriate steps to keep the ill student at home are being taken. They remind residents that the best way to prevent influenza spread is by practicing frequent hand washing, covering coughs, eating well and getting plenty of sleep.
