The Flying Pigs Roller Race was held Sunday at Bodywrx Fitness Center. The race consists of a two mile distance performed on a Kreitler roller system, a mechanism that allows a rider to be timed and remain stationary on a regular bicycle. It was orchestrated by the Twisted Spokes Cycling Team. 16 riders participated in the event, some attending from as far away as Waukon and Ames.

The top men’s finisher was Lee Venteicher of Waukon in a time of five minutes 21 seconds. The top female finisher was Alijah Beatty of Washington with a time of seven minutes 49 seconds. The event was sponsored by BodyWrx Fitness Center, Beatty & Peterseim Funeral & Monument Services, The Edge 2, Riders Sales and baked goods from Kierstan Peck.
