Discussion at Wednesday night’s meeting of the Washington School Board focused on boiler repair at the old Junior High. Options discussed at the meeting included using a line of credit for the amount of the $250,000 from Washington State Bank to replace the boiler, making temporary welding repairs to the boiler, or a bond issue that would involve projects including a geothermal system at Lincoln Elementary, a multipurpose facility at the middle school and a geothermal system at the former Junior High. Cost for all three projects was estimated to total around $6 million. The board will continue the discussion at their March meeting.
