A Henry County runaway has been located in Missouri and returned home. On January 3^rd the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a 13-year-old runaway from Salem was located near Kansas City, Missouri with 19-year-old Keith Lane Davis-Sauer of rural Ottumwa.

The Henry County Sheriff’s office took custody of Davis-Sauer from the Platte County Jail and transported him back to Henry County for the offense of “Harboring a Runaway Child”, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Davis-Sauer is already a suspect in another investigation in Henry County, and has also been charged with 2 counts of Sexual Abuse in the 3^rd degree, a class C felony. Davis-Sauer is being held in Henry County Jail on $26,500 bond. The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office has assisted with both investigations.

A criminal charge is merely and accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
