Two local beekeepers will once again share their expertise in an upcoming class. Ron and Carol Wehr own Wehr Honey Farm in rural Keota. They’re holding a beekeeping class at the Kirkwood Washington location beginning February 4th. Ron, who’s been in the business for over 25 years, says this beginner’s class will give any aspiring beekeeper the knowledge they need to start their own colony.

Ron explains that what started out as a hobby turned into a commercial business, producing around 12 tons of honey a year, while managing around 250 to 300 colonies.
