Final preparations for this year’s Fall Festival in Kalona are underway. Steve Reif with the Kalona Historical Village says at a meeting last week a checklist with about 100 items was gone through and adds they’re in good shape for the festival on the 28^th and 29^th.

He shares it takes about nine months to plan the fall festival, with one of the first tasks being booking the entertainment.

He says the Fall Festival, that’s held at the historical village, is now in its 41^st year.
