The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed the project at Orchard Hill as part of their meeting yesterday.  Bids were opened and a public reading of those bids was held for the Orchard Hill Building #1 rehabilitation project.  There was only one bid received for this project from Todd Hackett Construction based in Muscatine.

The amount of the bid was a total of $697,310.  The engineer’s estimate for the project was $565,000.  The difference between the estimate and the cost of the project could be funded through a grant.

The bid and funding options will be reviewed at next week’s meeting before awarding the bid.  Discussion was also held to move a bid letting date from June 4th to June 12 for a secondary roads project.
