The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in their weekly meeting, and one of the main items on their agenda was the discussion of the Gear Ave. Trail. Supervisor Richard Reed says they are working on completing the project. He says there is a stretch of it along Gear Ave. that runs in the county right of way in front of someone’s house that does not want it. He says they have looked at the option of putting the trail in the street. Reed says the trail committee came back saying they did not like that option and wanted the trail in the county right of way. He says the board of supervisors will make a decision on the issue at their next meeting.
