The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks won both consolation games at the state softball tournament, with a come from behind win over IKM-Manning and shut out Hinton in the second. The Golden Hawks got down 5-0 against IKM-Manning but started their come back in the bottom of the third bringing across two runs to get on the board. A late bases loaded single from Olivia Lugar forced extra innings at 5-5. IKM-Manning scored a run in extra innings but the Golden Hawks in the bottom of the inning tied it up and with the bases loaded Mariah Swartzendruber came to the plate and sent a base hit to center to score Rachel Miller to give Mid-Prairie the 7-6 win over IKM-Manning 7-6. Olivia Lugar pitched two and a third innings and Felicia Shulty came on in relief and gets the win.

In their second game of the day Mid-Prairie would face Hinton who beat Jessup 11-1 to get to the fifth place game. In that game, Mid-Prairie scored a run in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth to get a 4-0 lead and that would end up being the final as Olivia Lugar got the win in the pitching circle. Mid-Prairie ends their season taking fifth place in 2A with a 23-17 record.

Today, Southeast conference school Keokuk will meet the defending state champions Clear Creek Amana in the 3A semifinals. Keokuk beat Sioux City Heelan 1-0 in the their opening round game at state, Clear Creek Amana beat Harlan 7-2.
