Two area athletes are competing today at the Drake Relays. This is the first day for the high school events at Drake. For the high schools, it is essentially an all-star meet with the top athletes in the state in each event regardless of class qualifing. Today, Washington’s Sammy Ellingson will jump in the high jump. Also Mid-Prairie’s Candice Henrichson will throw in the shot put. The other area athletes at Drake will either compete tomorrow or Saturday.
