Upwards of 4 Inches of Snow Possible
Posted: March 20, 2010 @ 6:45 am In Today's Local News
Snow will continue to push east and southeast across the area today with many areas receiving an additional 1 to 2+ inches of wet snow by midday and early afternoon before the snow decreases. The snow accumulations will occur mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces due to the mild soil temperatures. Another round of snow is expected to push north across areas south of the interstate 80 corridor by late afternoon and this evening. Areas generally along and south of a line from Fairfield Iowa…to Monmouth Illinois may receive another 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight for weekend totals in those areas of 2 to 5+ inches. A winter weather advisory remains in effect until midnight
