Farm Bill Could Mean More Money for Conservation

Local farmers may be getting a helping hand from the federal government in the form of $1.4 million. Congressman Dave Loebsack says the proposed Agriculture Appropriations Act will help farmers in conservation and environment management. The Iowa democrat says the bill will offer technical assistance to aid farmers in controlling runoff and other farming techniques. The bill must now be sent to the US Senate for approval before being signed into law by the President.
