Mid-Prairie Middle Schoolers came together the past month to raise nearly $1,000 in change. The school recently took part in the Mile of Pennies program that benefits Johns Hopkins University’s research of childhood cancer, with an emphasis on Leukemia. Dennis Phares brought the Mile of Pennies program to the area and shares the school exceeded the around $845 it takes to stretch a mile by bringing in $974.21 worth of change.
