Posted: October 11, 2012 @ 6:23 am In Today's Local News
With big changes on the way, WACO elementary is giving the community a first glance at the progress that’s being made. WACO school district recently had its 4 day school week approved by the state of Iowa. The 4+1 school week will lengthen the school day Monday through Thursday, while Fridays will be focused on the student’s individual needs.
On Monday a meeting was held on the remedial aspects of the +1 part of the proposed school week. Today a meeting is being held at the elementary library in Crawfordsville at 7 on the enrichment side of the +1 day.
WACO Elementary Principal Brandt Snakenberg says that this meeting will give parents and community members a chance to express concerns, ask questions, make suggestions and see the progress that’s been made so far.
