Corn Fungus Could Affect Pork Producers

With this year’s drought, swine farmers are on the lookout for a fungus in their feed. According to pork producer, Rob Stout, Aflatoxin can prove to be an issue for those who farm the animal. He shares Aflatoxin is a fungus that is most likely to appear during a drought. The toxin can slow growth and cause problems with the hog’s immune system. He adds farmers can test for the fungus by using a black light.
