Cross Country:Mid-Prairie Boys First, Columbus Second in Boys and Girls at Keota

The Keota Eagles were hosting their cross country meet yesterday and Mid-Prairie and Columbus had strong finishes. Mid-Prairie won the boys side. The team results went like this:
1 Mid-Prairie
2 Columbus
3 Wapello
4 Lone Tree
5 Highland
6 Louisa-Muscatine
7 Keota

Individually for Mid-Prairie:
Peter Schwartz 1st 17:18
Jake O’Donnell 5th 17:57
Ty Feigenspan 11th
Jack Draper 14th

Mid-Prairie Head Coach Mike Hostetler says the key to their win was their fourth through seventh runners finishing strong. Their seventh runner Caleb Miller finished 21st.

For Columbus:
Ruben Jasso 4th
Ray Quiros 6th

On the girls side:
1 Wapello
2 Columbus
3 Lone Tree
4 Louis-Muscatine
5 North Mahaska
6 Mid-Prairie
7 Keota

For Mid-Prairie:
Sofia Chmaruk 1st 15:58
Mallory McArtor 4th

For Columbus:
Taylor Hills 9th
