Flu Levels Rising

Flu levels are on the rise in Iowa. Public Health Program Director Chrystal Woller at Washington County Public Health says while the state doesn’t report numbers on a local level, some of their doctors within their clinics have seen an increase in flu patients. She says flu is spread through coughing and sneezing, not washing your hands, not covering your cough and not staying home when you are sick. Woller notes the vaccines they are giving to everyone will help protect against the three different flu strains being spread. She says they still have plenty of flu shots available. If you would like to know more about flu clinics and times, you are asked to contact Washington County Public Health.
