Washington County Extension Office is hosting a Mosquito/Public Health Pest Management Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators. The program will be shown this morning at locations across Iowa through the Extension Pest Management and the Environment (PME) program.  The 2010 course provides continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in Community Insect Management, Public Health Pest Control and Demonstration and Research. Topics covered include pesticide laws and regulations, storage and handling, and an update on mosquitoes, ticks and other public health pests. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by sessions from 9 to 11:30.  Registration is $45 and can be done by phone by calling Washington County Extension at 653-4811.
