A local man has been awarded a $500 Pioneer Community College 4-H scholarship. Travis Greiner of Keota is an eight year member of 4-H and received the award for showmanship, record book and champion production in lamb at the local level. Greiner has served as president, vice president and treasurer of his 4-H club; he also attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference. Greiner is the son of Marion and Deb Greiner, and is a freshman at Hawkeye Community College majoring in agriculture power technology.
