Community Chest, an organization that supports non-profits in the Washington area, has rescheduled its $1,200 Grocery Giveaway for tonight’s Farmer’s Market. Roberta Lampkin is the Secretary and Treasurer of Community Chest. She says the organization holds a yearly fundraiser, but this year’s goal wasn’t met, and a raffle was held to fill the gap. A $1,200 grocery winner was to be announced at the Washington County Fair, but rain cancelled the event twice last week. A Grocery Giveaway winner will be announced at 4:45 pm tonight at the Farmer’s Market in Washington’s Central Park.
